My goal when I paint is to bring out the essence of the subject that cannot be brought out in a photograph. Photo realism in paint also does not interest me, although a finely honed skill, you may as well print a photo onto canvas and be done with it. No painting will be released until I'm satisfied that I have achieved my goal. I think I have priced these originals within the reach of almost anyone. Working with acrylic paints, many hours are spent on these paintings and yes, I work from photographs as it is practical and keeps costs lower. If your pet does not have paws, no worries. I'm happy with hoofs, claws, talons, fins etc. Here are some recent examples of my work.
